Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Discounto Cloud ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you install or use our Shopify application (the "App").
Information we collect
When you install the App, Shopify shares basic store and account information required to authenticate your shop and operate the App. Depending on how you use the App, we may process:
- Shop domain, shop ID, and staff account identifiers provided through Shopify OAuth
- Product, variant, collection, and catalog pricing data accessed through the Shopify Admin API to apply or revert campaigns
- Discount and publication data needed for quantity discount campaigns and optional channel availability rules
- Market and catalog data when you use market-specific sales features
- Campaign configuration you enter in the App, such as selections, discount values, schedules, and rounding rules
- Operational logs related to campaign processing, errors, and support requests
How we use information
We use the information above solely to provide and improve the App, including to:
- Authenticate your shop and maintain your session in Shopify Admin
- Apply, schedule, monitor, and revert pricing and discount campaigns you configure
- Enforce plan limits and display usage within the App
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations
We do not sell merchant or customer personal information.
Shopify API access
The App accesses Shopify data only through the permissions you approve during installation. Those permissions are listed in the Shopify App Store listing and in the authorization screen shown by Shopify when you install or update the App.
Data retention
We retain campaign and shop data for as long as your shop keeps the App installed and as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When the App is uninstalled, we delete or anonymize shop data in accordance with Shopify's requirements and our data retention practices, subject to backups and legal retention obligations.
Data sharing
We may share information with service providers that help us host and operate the App (for example, cloud infrastructure providers). Those providers may access data only to perform services on our behalf and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can uninstall the App at any time from Shopify Admin, which stops future data collection through the App. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise those rights, contact us using the details below.
GDPR and Shopify compliance webhooks
Where applicable, we process personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Shopify sends mandatory compliance webhooks (such as customer data request and shop redact events) to our application, and we handle those requests according to Shopify's requirements.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means.
